Puppet Labs acquires Marionette Collective orchestration framework
Puppet Labs, a provider of open source server automation software, has acquired The Marionette Collective, also known as MCollective, an orchestration framework that is also open source. Puppet Labs is buying the project’s intellectual property and will employ its founder and chief developer in a deal that we believe is indicative of further acquisition and consolidation around devops, the trend of enterprise application development and IT operations coming together as more organizations move to SaaS and cloud computing.
