Last week, scores of EC2 and VMware users signed on to learn how to achieve elasticity with their existing enterprise applications using hybrid clouds.
If you weren’t one of these people, you don’t have to miss out entirely! We recorded the entire event so you have the freedom to watch and learn from this session at your convenience. Also, please feel free to pass this webinar on to any friends or colleagues that you think may benefit from its content.
Entitled ‘Enterprise Application Elasticity with Hybrid Cloud’, this exciting event discussed how the hybrid cloud:
- Brings increased agility to the application delivery process
- Handles spike management
- Enables cloud elasticity for existing enterprise applications
To get an idea of what you’ll learn when you stream this session, here is a question asked during the webinar.
Q: What’s the paradigm for actually deploying servers – do you support existing open source deployment tools like chef and puppet or would you have to reengineer existing platform as code?
A: Nolio is an open platform, allowing access to other platforms through actions and plug-ins.
Specifically about Chef and Puppet – both have good REST APIs enabling Nolio to access their capabilities. Nolio has a REST API action that can be part of any flow – allowing any Nolio process access to Puppet and Chef capabilities. One standard usage pattern is to invoke such REST calls as part of a Nolio init step to set up the servers and get them ready for application release, and then run (either automatically, or based on a user authorization) a Nolio process to release the application on the provided servers.
Though the webinar is now over, you are invited to continue sending your questions to Nili at nili@noliosoft.com. I will gladly forward any inquiries on to Dr. Ukelson or any of our other DevOps architects.
